CivAll (Social News Desk, Inc., d/b/a CivAll) builds software used by government agencies and the staff who serve the public. We are committed to making our products usable by people with disabilities, including users who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, and screen magnification. Our conformance target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, and we additionally evaluate and report against WCAG 2.2 Level AA and the Revised Section 508 standards (36 CFR Part 1194).
This policy covers the authenticated CivAll Platform administrative application and the product modules delivered within it, along with our customer support channels and online documentation. Customers are responsible for the accessibility of content they supply and for authoring choices they control; CivAll remains responsible for the interfaces, components, templates, defaults, transformations, validation features, and rendered output that CivAll controls. Citizen-facing public websites generated by the platform will be covered by a separate conformance report under the same program; that report is planned but has not yet been published.
We evaluate conformance through a documented three-phase methodology: static code analysis of the application source; runtime browser testing including accessibility-tree inspection, keyboard traversal, form-validation probing, Lighthouse audits, and reflow and zoom checks; and screen-reader testing of primary user flows. Supporting evidence is retained for every conformance claim.
Results are published as Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACRs) using the VPAT 2.5 INT template, covering WCAG 2.1, WCAG 2.2, and Revised Section 508. ACRs are re-evaluated after substantive product changes, after any defect report that affects a claimed conformance level, and at minimum every 12 months. An ACR is re-issued whenever a substantive claim changes.
Accessibility issues may be reported by customers and end users at support@civall.com. Reported issues are tracked in the same system as all product defects and triaged by severity and user impact. Issues that block users of assistive technologies are treated as high-severity product defects. Any defect that affects a claimed conformance level triggers re-evaluation of that claim. Known conformance gaps are tracked on a remediation roadmap that is reviewed at each ACR update.
This policy is owned by CivAll Product & Engineering leadership and is reviewed at least annually, or sooner when standards or legal requirements change.
